BELL, Marion

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Sunday, May 29, 2016, in her 86th year. Loving daughter of the late Roy and Grace Bell and loving sister to the late Charles and Graydon Bell. She will be dearly missed by her cousins, her niece Melanie Young, and her many nieces and nephews. Though Marion spent her early years in Campbellford, she later relocated to Barrie, Ontario with her brother Charles Bell and sister-in-law Emily (Lee) Bell. Marion lived a very happy life, working previously with her dear friends Ron and Rhonda Stevenson at the Barrie Raceway and as an active member of Collier United Church. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends Lynda Goya, Bernadette Kacmarczyk, Linda Gavine, and all who cared for her during her years at the O’Brien House, Anne Street Home, and Edgar, as well as the many supports at Simcoe Community Services. A special thanks to the kind caregivers at Hospice Simcoe, and the positive spirit of Garrett. Guests will be welcomed at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from 4-6 PM, and on Thursday, June 2, at Collier Street United Church, 112 Collier St., Barrie, from 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM. Following the service, guests are invited to back to the funeral home for a reception luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion’s memory may be made to Simcoe Community Services.
