BEATON, Dr. Anita Carol

Passed away peacefully at Woodspark Care Centre, Barrie on Wednesday, May 17, 2018. Anita was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on July 15, 1926 to Lily Beaton (nee Nye) & Angus Beaton. Anita married Dr. Edward James Beaton in 1952 and moved to Barrie in 1959 to work at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Loving mother of James Angus Beaton (Deborah Small), Iain Gregor Beaton and Hugh Christopher Beaton (Carla nee Funkenhauser). Cherished grandmother of Kathryn Mairi Beaton, Colin Stuart Beaton and Margaret Julia Beaton. Loving sister of the late Joan Lavis. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street Barrie) to celebrate Anita’s life on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-7p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
