BARRETT (de Melo), Elizabeth ‘Liz’

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth DeMelo-Barrett on October 31, 2016 at the age of 53. Liz lost her battle with stage 4 brain cancer, although her battle was brief she fought with courage and dignity. Leaving behind her loving husband of 30 years Dan, and dear sons Kyle (Philip) and Jeremy (Emma, and son Theo). Loved daughter of Joao and Gloria DeMelo, Daughter in law to James (Deceased) and Ruby Barrett. Dear Sister to Jim (Melanie) DeMelo and Nelly (Dan) Raposo , sister in law to Brenda (Paul) McIntosh and John (Tess) Barrett. Cherished aunt to 8 nephews and one niece. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie, on Thursday November 3, from 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 9pm. A mass of christian burial will take place at Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Road, Barrie, On Friday November 4, starting at 11am.
