Suddenly, at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at the age of 62. Loving husband of Nadia for 37 years. Honoured father of Christopher Ashton (Lisa Barrett), Nicole Lees (David) and Richard Ashton (Jennifer Sypien). Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Ruth. Survived by his sister Sheila Bonney and brother Michael Ashton. Will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, his many long-time friends and colleagues through his near 30-year career with GO Transit and, especially, by his grand-doggy Raisin. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 from 10 am until the time we celebrate Kerry’s life in the Chapel at 12 pm. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kerry’s memory may be made to Barrie SPCA, the Barrie Library, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
