(July 17, 1926 - November 5, 2018) - Passed away peacefully at Woods Park Care Centre on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the age of 92. Ross was born in Barrie, Ontario and joined the army in 1945. He owned R.A Archer Refrigeration, and was involved with the city of Barrie as an Alderman, mayor, and member of PUC. Ross was a longtime member of Burton Avenue United Church. Loving husband of Marie for 70 years. Cherished father of Elaine (Frazer), David (Nancy) and the late Catharine. Adored grandpa of Matthew (Jayme), Braden (Cindy), Jill (Chris), Janet (Evan), Carley (Al), Aaron and Drew (Morgan). Great-grandpa of Liam, Nathan, Mylan, Kailey, Ashtyn, Jemma, Maddox, Delilah, Nash, and Thomas. Friends may call at BURTON AVENUE UNITED CHURCH (37 Burton Avenue, Barrie) on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 12 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1 o’clock p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
