It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, tragic passing of of Dominik Adamek of Springwater Township on Saturday May 5th, 2018. Born on December 22nd, 1990, Dominik (27) is survived by his parents Andrew and Diane Adamek and brother Kristian, grandparents Maria and Stan Adamek and grandmother Janina Ficek of Maków Podh, Poland. He will now be reunited with his grandfather Mieczyslaw Ficek.
Dominik was born in North Bay, Ontario and moved with his parents to the Barrie area. It was here that he attended The Good Shepherd Elementary School and St. Joseph’s Catholic High School. He went on to Ryerson University where he graduated with his degree in Business Technology Management. He was a hardworking, dedicated employee at RBC for 4 years leaving the position of e-Sourcing Project Manager in the Fall of 2017 to work with his father’s company – ADA Homes Ltd. It was here that he felt his career unfold, learning all aspects of the company. His love of family, music, friends and life in general is what made Dominik shine.
His relatives here and abroad, alongside his numerous friends will continually love and cherish the laughter and joys he brought into their lives.
Family and friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 650 Essa Road, Barrie on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Kids would be appreciated by the family.
