QMJHL Roundup: Cataractes edge Foreurs 5-4 in OT, Sea Dogs crush Huskies 9-2

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Charles Beaudoin scored his second of the night 2:13 into overtime Thursday, leading the Shawinigan Cataractes to a 5-4 victory over the Val-d'Or Foreurs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action. 

Owen Saye, Anthony DiCesare and Lou-Felix Denis also scored for the Cataractes (12-7-2).

The Foreurs (7-11-2) got goals from William Provost, Justin Robidas, Kale McCallum and Jeremy Ste-Marie. 

Charles-Antoine Lavallee made 23 saves for Shawinigan and William Blackburn stopped 43-of-48 shots as Val-d'Or suffered its seventh straight loss.

SEA DOGS 9 HUSKIES 2

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Nine different players scored as Saint John (10-8-3) routed Rouyn-Noranda (10-7-3). Brady Burns led the Sea Dogs in scoring with a goal and three assists.

WILDCATS 4 REMPARTS 2

MONCTON, N.B. — Thomas Couture made 40 saves as Moncton (11-6-3) doubled up Quebec (13-8-0). The win snapped a three-game losing skid for the Wildcats.
