OHL roundup: Special teams help Sting sink Rangers 5-1

KITCHENER, Ont. — Ethan Ritchie scored two power-play goals, netminder Benjamin Gaudreau stopped 22 of 23 shots and the visiting Sarnia Sting beat the Kitchener Rangers 5-1 in the lone Ontario Hockey League game on Tuesday night.

Filip Mesar gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead 53 seconds into the game, but after that it was all Sarnia.

Nolan Burke, Luca DelBelBelluz and Sasha Pastujov also scored for the Sting (24-14-4-2), who outshot the Rangers 34-23. Ethan Del Mastro and Pastujov each chipped in with two assists.

The Sting were 3-for-3 on the power play, while the Rangers (19-22-2-0) went 0-for-2.
