Max McCormick scores in OT, Belleville ends Syracuse win streak at nine

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Max McCormick scored 2:13 into overtime as the Belleville Senators beat Syracuse 2-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action, snapping the Crunch's win streak at nine games.

Jim O'Brien also scored and had an assist on the winner for the Senators (17-21-3). McCormick also had a helper for a two-point outing.

Mitchell Stephens found the back of the net for the Crunch (24-12-4).

Danny Taylor made 18 saves for the win as Connor Ingram stopped 22-of-23 shots in defeat.

Belleville went 0 for 4 on the power play while Syracuse scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
