Barrie North Walmart Supercentre celebrates grand re-opening

Store features an updated colour scheme, layout and signage for easier shopping and an impressive assortment of groceries/merchandise

Just in time for the back to school shopping season, the newly renovated Barrie North Walmart Supercentre, located at 450 Bayfield Street, will officially grand re-open to the community on Thursday, July 26.

The store, spanning close to 129,000-square-feet, features an updated colour scheme, layout and signage for easier shopping and an impressive assortment of groceries, general merchandise, and convenient services available at Walmart’s low prices every day.

One-stop shopping

Walmart Supercentres carry Canadian No. 1 grade fruits and vegetables such as Ontario-grown produce as well as an expanded selection of organic produce. Fresh meats include Canadian Angus beef, chicken, pork and salmon, and all fresh groceries come with a 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee. This is in addition to a strong general merchandise selection of fashion, electronics, home and health and wellness.

Customers can also enjoy the convenience of a full-service pharmacy, vision centre, photo kiosks, McDonald’s, SmartStyle Hair Salon, Tire & Lube Express for basic automotive services, Walmart Wireless for cellular phone services and Western Union.

The Walmart mobile app for iPhone and Android makes shopping at Walmart.ca easier and faster than ever. Customers can save time with quick access to favourite products, get notifications when their favourite items are on Rollback and scan items for prices, ratings and reviews.

Rob Kawa is excited to lead the Barrie North Walmart as the store manager. Kawa has worked at in retail for more than 25 years and at Walmart for the last decade.

Community giving

To celebrate the grand re-opening, Walmart will donate $1,000 to the Barrie Food Bank and $1,000 to Street Cats Rescue.
