The London Majors sent 11 batters to the plate in a seven-run top of the ninth to steal a 13-10 win Saturday night in Barrie.
Cleveland Brownlee and Hayden Jaco each drove in two in the ninth for the Majors, who improved to 15-6. Byron Reichstein also had a pair of RBI in the game, including a bases-loaded walk in the decisive inning. Chris McQueen, Austin Wilkie, Adam Filmon, Evan Britt and Julian Johnson all drove in a run. Robert Doyle went 2-for-4 and scored three times.
Jarryd Lund (2-1) picked up the win in an inning of relief, allowing a run on three hits with a walk and strikeout. Braeden Ferrington recorded the last two outs for his second save. Lucas Kelley started and went seven innings, giving up five runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
Avery Tuck went 4-for-5 with a pair of triples, two RBI and three runs for the Baycats, who let a 5-2 lead slip away late before retaking the lead in the bottom of the eighth. That set up London, which took advantage of one Barrie error in the ninth and three overall to score 10 of its runs unearned.
Jake Wilson hit a solo home run, Jeff Cowan went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run, Ryan Rijo and James Anderson each drove in a pair of runs, Branfy Infante had an RBI and a run, and David LeBlanc scored twice.
Chris Cox (0-2) took the loss, giving up five unearned runs on two hits in an inning. He walked three and struck out two. Baycats starter Juan Benitez was touched for six runs (three earned) on five hits in 7.2 innings, walking four and striking out four.
Barrie fell to 10-13 on the season with the loss.
