Starlin Rodriguez hit two of Barrie's six home runs as the Baycats beat the Kitchener Panthers 10-2 in a first-place battle Thursday night at Jack Couch Park. 

Barrie moved to 8-2, and Kitchener dropped to 7-2.

Rodriguez drove in three and scored twice, Kevin Atkinson homered and drove in two, Branfy Infante hit his first home run of the season and had two RBI and two runs, Connor Morro drilled a solo blast, and Glenn Jackson went deep while driving in two and scoring twice. 

Adrian Salcedo (3-0) scattered four hits and yielded one run in five innings for the win. He walked two and struck out five. 

Tanner Nivins and Colin Gordner each had two hits for the Panthers. Gordner had the lone RBI. Zarley Cina scored twice and stole his second base of the season. 

Brady Schnarr (2-1) took the loss, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits over 5.1 innings. He walked two and struck out three.
