CAMBRIDGE – The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced its Players of the Week for the week of Aug. 12-18.

Barrie Baycats infielder Conner Morro was named Hitter of the Week. In three games, Morro hit .417 (5-for-12) with two RBI and three runs. For the playoffs, Morro is slashing .333/.407/.542/.949 with a home run, seven RBI and a stolen base.

Kitchener's Yoennis Yera was named top pitcher after giving up an earned run on three hits with six strikeouts in six innings as the Panthers topped Toronto in Game 4 of their first-round series.

Yera has started two games in the post-season and has an earned-run average of 3.00 with 15 strikeouts in 12 innings.
