Members of the York Regional Police Uniform Recruiting Unit are heading to shopping malls across our region in an effort to encourage potential candidates to choose York Regional Police as their next employer.

Recruiters will attend the Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Promenade in Thornhill from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Vaughan Mills in Vaughan from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

There, interested candidates will have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with uniform officers and recruiting representatives about the recruitment process, application requirements and career benefits at York Regional Police.

York Regional Police is hiring an unprecedented number of new members over the next several years as the number of officers eligible for retirement continues to increase. The organization is actively seeking nearly 150 constables to join York Regional Police next year. Exceptional individuals interested in a career in policing are strongly encouraged to submit their applications.
