On Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 6:10 p.m. Barrie Police were called to an apartment at 14 Worsley Street, in the City of Barrie, for a disturbance.
Blood smear was found in the hallway and a commotion that appeared quite heated could be heard from a nearby apartment.
Police were met with little cooperation by the victim, accused and witnesses once in the apartment .
A 29-year-old Barrie man was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries.
A 20-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
She was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date at the beginning of April.
