Discussion:
Lake effect snow has developed in the wake of a cold front. A local 5 to 10 cm is possible before the snow tapers to light flurries this evening.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Significant snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm expected Wednesday into Thursday.
Hazards:
Total snowfall accumulations 15 to 20 cm.
Reduced visibility in heavy snow.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.
Isolated power outages are possible.
Timing:
Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning.
Discussion:
A Texas low tracking northeastward is expected to bring snow to the area early Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. Snowfall accumulations of 15 cm are expected, with locally higher amounts of up to 20 cm likely.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
