The COVID-19 pandemic has propelled us into a digital world.
For those who do not have regular access to technology at home, navigating this ‘new normal’ can be challenging. The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is excited to announce that iPads and WiFi are now available free of charge for public use on-site on the patio at the Lakeshore Branch.
All you need to access this service is an Innisfil ideaLAB & Library membership. Just call ahead to reserve your iPad, and enjoy everything the web has to offer. If you have your own device, you’re welcome to use the WiFi at our Lakeshore, Cookstown, and Stroud Branches. Outdoor seating is available at the Lakeshore and Cookstown Branches.
Although Innisfil ideaLAB & Library Branches remain closed to the public in order to limit the spread of COVID-19, the patio space is a way for us to safely provide services our community needs. Printing and faxing services are also now available at the Lakeshore, Cookstown and Stroud Branches. Visit our website or call ahead for details.

Libraries are a high-touch type of business with many of shared spaces,” says Innisfil ideaLAB & Library Acting CEO Susan Baues. “We hope that offering patio services helps improve access to reliable internet for our residents, while we continue to work on our plans to open our Branches safely and responsibly.”
While the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library continues to prepare our spaces, we encourage the community to continue taking advantage of the services we currently offer, including:
- Take part in one of our many virtual programming and live events for all ages
- Borrow materials through our Curbside Pick-Up service
- Return materials through the drop boxes
- Printing and faxing (visit our website or call ahead for details).
- Digital Library -- eBooks, music, magazines, movies!
- Free WiFi at the Lakeshore, Cookstown, and Stroud Branches
