As last minute shoppers wind down the last few hours in local stores, here's a look at what is open and closed over the next few days in Simcoe County.

As last minute shoppers wind down the last few hours in local stores, here's a look at what is open and closed over the next few days in Simcoe County..

Christmas Eve

  • Banks, government offices and post offices close early.
  • Bayfield Mall - open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Georgian Mall - open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tanger Outlets - open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Upper Canada Mall - open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Vaughan Mills - open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Other shopping centres and grocery stores close early.
  • LCBO and Beer Store locations  open until 6 p.m.

Christmas Day

Most businesses and restaurants are closed.
Banks, government offices and post offices will be closed.

Boxing Day

  • Bayfield Mall - open at 8 a.m.
  • Georgian Mall - open at 8 a.m.
  • Tanger Outlet Mall, Cookstown - open at 8 a.m.
  • Upper Canada Mall, Newmarket - open at 8 a.m.
  • Vaughan Mills Mall - open at 7 a.m.
  • Other shopping centers and grocery stores open early.
  • LCBO and Beer Store - closed.
  • Banks, government offices and post offices - closed.

Transit

Barrie:

  • Regular service Christmas Eve.
  • No service Christmas Day.
  • Regular service Boxing Day.

Orillia:

  • Ends Christmas Eve at 6:15 p.m.
  • No service Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

Waste collection

Barrie and Simcoe County:

  • No collection on Christmas Day - pick up shifted to Saturday, Dec. 26.
