This year's Barrie Pride parade was the largest ever, with more floats and more participants.

"It just keeps getting bigger and bigger, as more of us come out," said Erica Einarson, who was marching in her second Barrie Pride Festival. "This is terrific."

The Pride parade and festival was held on Saturday, attracting hundreds of participants.

"This is just about fun and acceptance," said Cheryl Walker, 16. "You don't have to be gay to celebrate."

Barrie Pride is a group of local citizens dedicated to providing opportunities to everyone through events, community partnerships and celebrations designed to bring our entire city together in the celebration of LGBTQ Pride, History and Diversity
