Barrie Police are looking for two suspects after some big bottles of liquor were stolen from an LCBO

January 22 update

The identification of both suspects have been confirmed by tips submitted to the investigating officer. 

Barrie Police Service would like to thank all those who provided the information necessary to charge these two males.

January 19 original release

On Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. police were called to the LCBO located at 55 Mary Street, in the City of Barrie, for a theft. 

Upon arrival surveillance video was reviewed showing two male suspects attend the Vodka wall where one male placed a 1750-millilitre bottle of Russian Prince Vodka in his jacket. 

The two males then moved to the Rum wall where the first male added a 1750ml bottle of Bacardi Superior Rum to his jacket and the second male concealed two additional 1750-millilitre bottles of Bacardi Superior Rum in a red bag he was carrying. 

The males exited the store without paying for any of the items.

Description Suspect #1:

  • Male, white, approximately 30 years old
  • 5’8”, medium build
  • Dark hair
  • Scruffy face
  • Wearing blue jeans, dark grey Columbia jacket, black T-shirt, and black shoes

Description Suspect #2:

  • Male, white, approximately late 20’s
  • 5’6”, thin build,
  • Scruffy face
  • Wearing grey hoodie, black jacket with AW writing on the left breast, black ball cap, and black shoes
