ORILLIA – On December 25, 2015 at approximately 2:10 a.m., Orillia OPP officers observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Mississaga Street West.
The vehicle went into a ditch on Karen Crescent and the driver was arrested.
Kevin Mountney, 31 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol.
He was also charged with several Highway Traffic Act offences.
He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on January 12, 2016.
On December 28, 2015 at approximately 7:23 p.m., Orillia OPP officers attended the scene of a vehicle collision on Westmount Drive South.
Officers arrived on scene and located a single vehicle that had hit a hydro pole.
The driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.
Lee Haninec, 22 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol.
He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on January 19, 2016.
