South Simcoe Police Service officers are investigating a serious, two-vehicle collision in Innisfil.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 around 6 p.m., police were called to the intersection of 14th Line and 10th Sideroad for a two-vehicle collision involving a rollover.

Two people had to be extricated by Innisfil Fire and Rescue Service.

County of Simcoe Paramedic Services transported four people to a local hospital.

Two were subsequently airlifted to Toronto hospitals and the others were treated and released.

The road was closed for several hours while the South Simcoe Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit conducted an investigation.

The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.

With the onset of snowy roads, we have experienced an increase in collisions. Many are due to motorists driving too fast for the conditions.

The cause of this collision is under investigation but we urge people to slow down.
