Lorraine Lang of Tiny Township said yes to Encore (June 10, 2016 Lotto Max) and won $100,000. Lorraine matched six of seven winning numbers on her Encore selection.

“I was at the grocery store the day after the draw and decided to scan my ticket in the ticket checker,” shared Lorraine while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where she picked up her winnings. “I didn’t expect that anything different would happen but then I saw the words ‘Big Winner - $100,000’ flash on the screen!”

Lorraine reached into her purse to grab her glasses.

“I figured I clearly wasn’t seeing things clearly. I scanned the ticket again and again and the same words appeared on the screen. Believe it or not, with my heart pounding and my knees feeling weak, I carried on with my groceries. I figured my good news could wait until I got home.”

Lorraine’s husband was home when she returned from the store. “I suggested that we go out for a really nice dinner. He didn’t appear all that interested. Next, I told him not to make any plans for next Monday because we needed to take a trip to Toronto. He said, ‘What for?’ That’s when I told him I won $100,000!”

Lorraine’s husband insisted on checking the ticket again. “So we headed back to the grocery store, glasses in hand, and I scanned the ticket again. We were both very excited!”

Lorraine and her husband have two grown children.

“We would love to treat them to a Christmas vacation, somewhere hot like Mexico. I would also love to renovate our bathroom and get some hardwood floors. It feels awesome to win the lottery. I’m a bookkeeper who keeps tabs on everybody else’s money but I have never set up a pension for myself. This win will help with my future,” concluded Lorraine.

Encore can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rama Country Market and Gas Bar on Yellowhead Trail in Rama.
