The three men charged in the death of Barrie woman Dana Camber pleaded guilty to lesser charges recently and two were sentenced.

David Glover, 27, pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory after the fact in the death of Camber.

He received credit for 675 days of pre-trial custody and was sentenced to two years of probation, an agreement to submit to a DNA order and an order to pay a victim surcharge within one year. The first-degree murder charge was withdrawn.

Gregory Keays, 27, from Innisfil, also pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory after the fact.

He received credit for 660 days of pre-trial custody and was sentenced to two years of probation, an agreement to submit to a DNA order and an order to pay a victim surcharge within six months. The first-degree murder charge was also withdrawn.

James Garthwaite, 25, of Toronto, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter, which was accepted by the Crown. Garthwaite’s sentencing was adjourned to Aug. 2.

The Barrie police homicide unit arrested and charged the three men in the death of Camber in April 2017.

On March 14, 2017, at around 2:41 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call about gunshots at 101 Kozlov St., near the corner of Bayfield and Livingstone streets.

They found Camber without vital signs in her third-floor apartment.

An autopsy determined that the 50-year-old grandmother died of a shotgun wound to the abdomen.
