Georgian offering one-on-one help to people who want to go back to college Georgian is hosting an event on June 18 to support mature students interested in going back to college.

Aptly named 'Get Help to Go Back,' the event offers an opportunity to connect with college admissions and recruitment staff. Participants can speak to a career consultant, go on a campus tour, get one-on-one support with program research, college applications, and more. Plus, if you apply in person at the event, Georgian will cover your Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) application fee.

“Our knowledgeable and friendly student recruitment team is here to provide adults in the community who have been out of school for a while with ideas and information about how to take their next step,” explained Kailey Hawkins, Manager of Student Recruitment at Georgian. “We’ve created Get Help to Go Back to make the process easier for mature learners. The event is beneficial for those who are thinking of training for a new career, but aren’t sure where to start.”

Anyone interested in participating should RSVP online to ensure adequate staffing.

'Get Help to Go Back' will take place at all seven campus locations in Barrie, Midland, Muskoka (Bracebridge), Orillia, Owen Sound, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay (Collingwood), from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 18. Participants are welcome to bring family and friends.

Parking is free for 'Get Help to Go Back' guests. You will receive detailed instructions about how to access complimentary parking when you RSVP online.
