INNISFIL FARMERS' MARKET

INNISFIL, ON – The Innisfil Farmers’ Market opens for its sixth season on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Innisfil Recreational Complex, located in the north parking lot at 7315 Yonge Street. In addition to offering fresh, local products, the first day will feature a butter tart contest where participants will compete for the Best Butter Tart 2016 award. A few additional vendors have been brought in for the opening, just for the sale of these tasty treats.

“What’s new and exciting this year is the wider variety of delicious food options now available,” said Innisfil Farmers’ Market Committee Co-Char Rob Radcliffe. “Whether you need a meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner and so on, we’ve got plenty of new vendors cooking up fresh meals for everyone’s budget and diet.”

Twenty-six vendors will be offering goods for the 2016 season. The Innisfil Farmers’ Market traditionally offers fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses and wines, honey and maple syrup and more.  In addition there are vendors providing ready-to-eat foods for dinner or lunch; vegan products; freshly prepared ice cream; crêpes; juices and barbeque.

The Innisfil Farmers’ Market operates every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Innisfil Recreational Complex from Thursday, June 16 until Thursday, October 6, 2016.
