On Sunday, November 29, 2015, just before 10 p.m., South Simcoe Police were called to an Alcona business on Innisfil Beach Road, after a vehicle drove through the front of the building.

Officers arrived at the Alcona Beach Health Shoppe to find a sport utility vehicle inside the front window of the business.

The driver was identified, arrested and taken to the station for testing.

The 24-year-old Innisfil man's blood alcohol readings were more than 3 1/2 times the legal limit. He was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs.

His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded.

The man will appear in court in December.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the collision.

The store expects to reopen after emergency repairs are completed today.
