Suspicious package found in Tim Hortons bathroom

Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka along with the members of the Ontario Provincial Police Orillia Detachment are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three males.

Investigators with the Orillia O.P.P are seeking witnesses to assist with identifying the males in the surveillance photos from Tim Hortons in Orillia.

On September 2, 2015 at approximately 7 p.m., a suspicious package (a grey box) was located in the male public washroom at Tim Hortons on Monarch Drive in Orillia.

The package was removed by employees who opened it- within the box was several batteries and wires.

OPP Explosives Disposal Unit attended and deemed the device was not an explosive.

Video obtained from Tim Hortons shows – Three males had entered the washroom just prior to the box being located the males left in a gold or silver minivan with a fourth male.

Police are looking to identify the males in the video and photos.

Note the team shorts on one of the males.
