On Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 12:45 p.m., police were called to Canadian Tire on Bayfield Street in regards to a shoplifter.
The accused male ran from loss prevention officers, but once police arrived the very exhausted male surrendered, admitting to the theft.
A 40-year-old Orillia man was charged with theft over $5,000 and breaching his current probation order for a previous conviction of assault.
