TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE, ON - This afternoon at 4:48 p.m. a serious motor vehicle collision occurred on Fuller Avenue in the Town of Penetanguishene, ON.

The male driver sustained serious injuries and has been transported by Air Ambulance Ornge to a Toronto area trauma centre from Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland.

As a result of the collision, the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been notified and has invoked its mandate.

Further inquiries should be directed to SIU communications at (416) 622-2342.

Fuller Avenue between Cambridge Street and Robert Street East will remain closed until further notice while members of the OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) and the SIU complete their investigation.
