South Simcoe Police Service are proud to be hosting their annual Service Recognition Event where members of the police service, auxiliary unit, volunteer team, media partners and citizens are recognized for their contributions to community safety over the past year.

The awards being presented will recognize excellence in policing that includes bravery, tenacity, determination, life-saving emergency response and team work.

Several retired members will also be presented their retirement badges by Chief Andrew Fletcher in recognition of their years of service to the communities of Bradford West Gwillimbury and Innisfil.

South Simcoe Police will also recognize citizens who stepped forward and demonstrated acts of bravery and courage in responding to emergency situations, or acts of honesty, integrity and good citizenship.

Finally, acknowledging the importance of strong media relations, a number of media awards will be presented to print, radio and television media partners who through their journalism, have captured the professionalism and dedication of members of the South Simcoe Police Service engaged in their duties.
