The Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre invites you to shake off winter and celebrate the season ahead at its Paws for Spring fundraiser and Microchip Clinic taking place on May 26 in support of animals in need.

Drop by the Barrie Animal Centre at 91 Patterson Rd. from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 26 for a fun-filled day. To help get your pooch ready for summer, the Barrie Animal Centre is offering a dog washing station and free nail trims sponsored by Bark & Fitz Barrie. There will also be a used pet supply sale with items such as, crates, clothing, dishes and more!

Plus, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., you can have your pet micro-chipped, sponsored by Telus and supported by Allandale Veterinary Hospital, for only $27.

Even if you don’t have a pet, come out and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon and meet animals available for adoption.

“We are excited to celebrate spring with our community,” says Madalyn Abreu, Manager, Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre. “Paws for Spring is fun for the whole family, including your favourite furry family member. Best of all, you’ll be helping your pet look and feel their best while also helping animals in need.”

Admission is by a donation of $10 for adults, and $5 for children. To get your tickets and book your microchip appointment, email Erin at [email protected]. For more information, visit barrie.ontariospca.ca.
