See Jeff Lehman take a pie in the face for charity through pictures (18 photos)

This year's 15th annual event raised $23,650

Several representatives from area manufacturing companies gathered in a large room at Innovation Automation in south-end Barrie today with the prospect of tossing pies in each other's faces.

As an added bonus, mayoral candidate and incumbent Jeff Lehman was the ultimate prize.

The event, which is in its 15th year, raised $23,650 for United Way Simcoe Muskoka.

Participants had a chance to bid on the opportunity to pie a variety of people in the room, while some were able to squirm their way out of the pie chair by upping the ante themselves.

The annual good-natured celebration, which takes place one lunch hour every autumn, includes Innovative Automation staff as well as their customers, suppliers, partners and owners.

More than $170,000 has been raised through the event since 2003, including $21,000 last year.

All of the proceeds from the event go toward local programs and services.
