He strolled through an excited throng of children and parents at the food court this morning.
With Christmas carols setting the festive mood, the white-bearded elf in the red suit rang jingle bells and handed out loot bags.
A sell-out crowd of 200 showed up bright and early for a pancake breakfast with the big guy.
Proceeds go to the Women's and Children's Shelter of Barrie.
Then Santa went to his brand new Ho Ho home in the mall where he will be hearing whispered Christmas wishes and taking pictures throughout the holiday season.
The event also marks the launch of the Barrie and District Christmas Cheer for donations to help less fortunate families in Barrie have a Christmas.
