Robbery victim allegedly punched in the head for 'a small amount of cash'

On June 18, 2016 at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers from the Orillia OPP were dispatched to a robbery that occurred on Mississaga Street West. 

Officers attended the location and spoke with two males who advised that they were walking on Mississaga Street when two males stopped them and asked them to empty their pockets. 

One of the males was punched in the head before they complied and gave up a small amount of cash. 

After investigating the incident officers arrested the two male suspects at a Mississaga Street address.

Kevin Mountney, 31 years old of Severn Township, has been charged with 2 counts of robbery.  He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing today in Barrie Criminal Court.

Timothy Vaughan, 26 years old of Orillia, has been charged with 2 counts of robbery.  He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia Criminal Court on August 2, 2016.
