R.I.D.E. check results in 90-day license suspension

A 33-year-old Bradford woman is charged with excess alcohol.

On Saturday, November 28, 2015 shortly before 8:00 p.m. a female motorist was stopped at a R.I.D.E. check point in Bradford.  

The officer could smell the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the drivers breath.  

The driver was required to provide a breath sample into a road side screening device which resulted in a FAIL.  

She was arrested for over 80 care and control and taken to the police station where further breath samples confirmed that she was over the legal limit.  

A 33-year-old Bradford woman is charged with excess alcohol.  

She will appear in Bradford Provincial Court at a later date to answer to the charges.  

The woman's drivers license was automatically suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
