INNISFIL – The Town has been advised that starting immediately (Sept. 22, 2016 around 12:30 p.m.), Enbridge Gas will be restoring natural gas service to Cookstown.
This work requires the controlled release of natural gas which is necessary to clear the lines of any air and begin re-energization. At various points during the day, residents may smell gas.
As always, the safety of the public is our first priority and so we encourage residents to always call the Enbridge emergency line if they smell natural gas at 1-866-763-5427.
We have been advised this may last several hours today.
