Registration now open for online neighbourhood consultations around SCS

Each session is limited to 160 participants; Four locations have been short-listed for supervised consumption site

Registration to participate in online neighborhood consultations is now open to people who live, own a business or work nearby the proposed locations for a Supervised Consumption Service (SCS) Site in the City of Barrie.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County Branch and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit would like feedback on how the proposed SCS locations outlined below can best meet the needs of the clients using the services and the surrounding residential/business community.  

Eligible participants may register to attend one of four facilitated virtual sessions by visiting www.smdhu.org/SCSfeedback. Sessions will be held on:   

  • Friday, April 9:            10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
 
  • Wednesday, April 14:  3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
 
  • Thursday, April 15:      5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
        
  • Monday, April 19:        6 p.m. - 8 p.m.  

Please note each session is limited to 160 participants. Responses from the session will be used to help inform the decision-making on one (1) final site recommended for the application process.

  • 110 Dunlop St. W., Unit 4
 
  • 11 Sophia St. W.
 
  • 19 Innisfil St. (Also known as 80 Bradford St., Unit 940)
 
  • 192 Bradford St.
