Barrie Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred at a residence on Mowat Crescent in the City of Barrie, late Thursday evening on February 11, 2016.
It is believed the suspect had entered the home through an unlocked door while the homeowner had been sleeping.
The suspect managed to flee the residence stealing the homeowner’s wallet, laptop and tablet.
Further investigation led police to a Mac’s Convenience Store, located on Anne Street in the City of Barrie.
Video surveillance captured a male suspect using a stolen debit card, belonging to the homeowner in the early hours of Friday morning.
The suspect is described as:
- Male, white
- Approximately 5’9”, medium build
- Dark eyes and a thin blond goatee
- Wearing a black ski jacket and black pants
The investigation is ongoing.
