Problem motel guest faces drug charges

Barrie Police were called to a Barrie motel Saturday afternoon with regards to a female guest who had overstayed her welcome. 

The woman had been causing problems for hotel management and was refusing to vacate her room.

When police arrived to assist, they located two parties in the room along with a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The female, a 34-year-old Barrie woman, was already out on earlier charges for property and drug related offences.

She faces three new charges; two counts of possession of CDSA and one breach of recognizance.

Her companion, a 31-year-old Barrie man, was out on his own charges for violence based offences. 

He himself faces three new charges; two counts of breach of probation and one possession of CDSA.

Both were arrested and lodged at the Barrie Police Station to await a Bail Hearing.
