Prescription drug drop off event coming to Georgian College

And the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will be hosting a free naloxone clinic outside of the Pharmacy Technician labs

The Barrie Police Community Services Unit has partnered up with Georgian College and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) to offer an expired or unused prescription drug drop off event. 

Medication return will be taking place in front of the Health, Wellness and Sciences building. This medication return is available (free of charge) to all of the Georgian College community and our local community.

The public will only have to drive up to the building and students will be collecting expired and old medication and bringing it into the Barrie Police Command Post parked in front of the building for identification and destruction.

Date: Friday, March 23, 2018
Time: 2 - 6 p.m.
Location: Georgian College, 1 Georgian Dr., Barrie

In coordination with the medication drop off, SMDHU will be holding a naloxone clinic outside of the Pharmacy Technician labs on the second floor of the Health, Wellness and Sciences building. 

A valid health card is needed for one-on-one training and a free naloxone kit. More information on the naloxone clinic can be obtained by contacting the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
