Police are seeking two people who may have information on a stabbing in downtown Barrie, Saturday morning.

Barrie police say they would like to speak to a man and a woman seen on a security camera who may have information that could help in the investigation of a stabbing in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 27.

“They are not suspects, but police would like to speak with them," said Barrie police communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays.

Police responded to the incident on Dunlop Street between Bayfield Street and Maple Avenue shortly after 3 a.m.

A 28-year-old man was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with life-threatening injuries from what is believed to be an edged weapon.
