City police have released more details following a massive drug bust in south-end Barrie last week where officers say they seized fentanyl, cocaine, crack, heroin and crystal methamphetamine. 

Last month, the Barrie police street crime unit began investigating following numerous complaints from neighbours regarding drug trafficking in the area of 90 and 100 Little Ave.

On Friday, members of the Barrie police street crime unit, along with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police tactical response unit, York Regional Police emergency response unit and the Barrie police tactical support unit, executed four Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at several residences located at 90 and 100 Little Ave., along with a residence on Megan Court.

Eighteen people were arrested. Investigators have now charged 10 people with numerous drug-related offences, and three people were arrested on outstanding warrants, followed by the unconditional release of six people who were known to police. 

As a result of the investigation, police seized money, cocaine/crack cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crystal meth, with a combined approximate street value of almost $6,500.

Police also seized three tasers, which are deemed a prohibited weapon under the Criminal Code of Canada.

A 36-year-old Toronto man has been charged with: possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon. He was remanded into custody for a bail hearing.

A 46-year-old Pickering man has been charged with: possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). He was remanded into custody for a bail hearing.

A 50-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with: possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). She was remanded into custody for a bail hearing.

A 41-year-old Barrie man has been charged with: possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). He was remanded into custody for a bail hearing.

A 25-year-old Brampton man has been charged with failure to comply with a recognizance and was remanded into custody for a bail hearing.

An 18-year-old Toronto man has been charged with: possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), failure to comply with a recognizance and two counts of failure to comply with a recognizance in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was remanded into custody for a bail hearing

A 35-year-old Barrie man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone). He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie in April.

A 25-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin). She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie in April.

A 28-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with; possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie in April.

A 30-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with: possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie in April.
