*************************
The Barrie Police Service is excited to announce a new free after-school program being offered at the Holly Community Centre beginning Feb. 7, 2022.

Inside Out is an exciting new program developed by the Barrie Police Service. Inside Out is an evidence-based, youth program to replace the "Values, Influences and Peers (VIP)" program.

The Inside Out after-school program offers youth a safe space to build resilience, foster relationships with Barrie Police, and have some fun. Through a variety of activities, youth will work to build a positive sense of self, healthy friendships as well as community responsibility and belonging. Healthy after-school snacks will be provided.

Inside Out will be delivered by community engagement staff with training in self-regulation and strength-based practices. The Inside Out program requires parental consent to participate, as well as a follow-up survey, evaluating the program. The consent must be signed prior to the class. An information package will be available upon registration.

This program aims to enhance youth wellness by delivering strength-based and trauma-informed programming centred on building resilience through protective factors.
