Police looking for suspects with weird need for shaving supplies

Two suspects collected various razors, body groomers and shaving cartridges from a local Loblaws, police say

Barrie Police are seeking the public's assistance after receiving surveillance video from a theft and assault that occurred earlier this month.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at 3:40 p.m. two suspects entered Loblaw's Super Center located at 472 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie, and proceeded straight to the grooming aisle.

The two collected various razors, body groomers and shaving cartridges. They were observed concealing them and exiting the store. 

When loss prevention approached the suspects outside the store to place them under arrest, the first suspect ran southbound towards Bayfield Street and the second suspect elbowed the lost prevention officer and punched him in the side before fleeing on foot as well. 

The suspects were seen circling the parking lot before climbing into a red Dodge Caravan with a licence plate similar to BKXR 446.

Suspect #1:

  • Male, white
  • 30 years
  • 5'10", medium build
  • Wearing beige hat, dark pants, dark jacket

Suspect #2:

  • Male, possibly Asian
  • 30 years old 
  • 5'9", stocky build 
  • Wearing black short hair, grey jogging pants and grey sweater
