Police looking for suspect in drug store assault

Barrie Police are looking for a suspect after a sexual assault alleged to have taken place at a Wellington Street West drug store on Sunday.

Police say a female shopper was leaving the checkout counter at the Shoppers Drug Mart when she was approached from behind by an unknown male.

The victim's buttocks and genital area were grabbed from behind.

Police say the man walked past her and out of the store.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Approximately 40 years old
  • 6'-6'2"
  • Lean build
  • Dark, medium length hair

He was wearing:

  • Red shirt with white lettering
  • Plaid, hooded jacket
  • Black baseball hat with white lettering
  • Jeans

Police say various witnesses and employees were in the area.
