Barrie Police are asking drivers to circle-check their vehicles for loose lug nuts after two incidents were reported today.

This comes after OPP in Penetanguishene reported three incidents of loose lug nuts in that community.

The following is a news release issued today by Barrie Police:

*************************
Police have received two separate and not connected reports of loose lug nuts on vehicles in opposite sides of the city.

The calls came in on the morning of Friday, June 24, 2016 and the incidents are currently being investigated.

One incident happened on Cartwright Drive in the north end and the other took place on Nicholson Drive in the south end.

"We are investigating but at this point in time we don't believe they are connected," said Const. Sarah Bamford.

Barrie Police Service would like to remind everyone to circle check your vehicle before driving each time and to safely pull over if you feel your vehicle is not maneuvering properly.
