A 26-year-old Barrie man stands charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault after police were called to a stabbing at a residence in Barrie's south end.
Police located a 26-year-old male victim at the residence with a stab wound to his leg.
The suspect and the victim who are known to each other had become engaged in an argument while attending the same party.
The suspect stabbed the victim and fled the scene.
Officers located and arrested the suspect a short distance away.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.
