INNISFIL — On Sunday, April 17, 2016, around 3:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to an Alcona home after someone called about a man causing a commotion.

Once on scene, officers learned a man had broken a car window and assaulted a woman before fleeing the scene.

The suspect was located a short distance away and arrested.

In his possession was a small metal safe containing a quantity of cash, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, ecstasy and prescription pain killers.

The 34-year-old Innisfil man was held for a bail hearing charged with mischief under $5,000, assault with a weapon, and 10

violations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
