Police announce charges in alleged army cadet donation theft

Barrie Police have been conducting a six month long investigation into a theft that occurred in 2015 from 2919 Grey and Simcoe Foresters Royal Canadian Army Cadets Corp, in the City of Barrie. 

The female suspect had been collecting money on behalf of the organization, but the funds never made it into the accounts they were supposed to.

After many attempts to locate the female from the both the organization and Barrie Police Detectives, on Monday, February 8, 2016 the 38-year-old Barrie female was located and charged with theft over $5,000 for keeping close to $12,000 to herself. 

The female was released on a promise to appear with a court date of March 21, 2016. 

She was also relieved of her treasury duties at the Royal Canadian Army Navy Cadets.
